Red wine quality is defined to a large extent by the ripeness of tannin. The wine style is framed around these fine grained tannins coaxed from grapes grown on low yielding vines. This is the theme for all Cullen red wines and gives finesse , flavour and longevity. Wines made include: Diana Madeline Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot which is made predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon, its complimentary companions being Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc in varying amounts. Mangan is made from grapes sourced off the Mangan vineyard and in a blend of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot. Margaret River Red is an early drinking cabernet sauvignon merlot blend. Several other wines appear from time to time exclusively at cellardoor. These include, pinot noir, cabernet franc , merlot, and sparkling shiraz. |
